Director, Professional Services

Job Description
This position reports directly to the VP of Operations to ensure that we make the best product possible. The Director, Professional Services role is to manage a team of Business Analysts, plan, design, assist in the development and launch efficient business, system enhancements and changes in support of core rights management functions and business processes. This includes gathering and analyzing data in support of business cases, proposed projects and systems requirements. The Director, Professional Services is also responsible for generating and compiling reports based on their findings, complete with probable causes and possible solutions to systems issues. The Director, Professional Services will be the interface between the company and customer for technical projects and system activities and enhancements.

Responsibilities will include:
  • Directly manages a group of Business Analysts ensuring customer requirements are addressed and timelines are met.
  • Serves as an Implementation leader for US based operations and helps to set the direction for the implementation.
  • Works collaboratively with UK Director of Professional Services and East Coast Operations lead.
  • Provides Executive Management with regular project updates. Escalates any delays or concerns with projects in a timely and organized manner.
  • Runs weekly Implementation call and ensures team updates Confluence (or similar) project management tools.
  • May be required to manage the relationship directly with customers from the beginning of the project, through the design and implementation phase, ensuring that all deadlines and technical aspects of each project are met.
  • Participates in the definition, testing, training, implementation and support of system requirements.
  • Supports BA team and potentially leads in the identification of customer requirements, develops test plans, conditions/cases, and schedules, tracks and documents the development and results of these plans.
  • Continues to modify, update and improve procedures for client requirements through interviews and/or existing systems documentation or procedures.
  • Ensures requirements are understood, agreed to and signed off at the appropriate stages in a project.
  • Works closely with product and engineering on prioritization of competing client asks.
  • Provides detailed analysis of processes and workflows with suggestions for improvement.
  • Ensures compliance with Harvest for all projects.
  • Builds relationships with business users, gains deep understanding of their processes and how they are currently utilizing technology, develops improvements.
  • Manages and arranges training sessions internally and externally as required. Continues online Webinar sessions.
Requirements include:
  • Undergraduate degree and at least 10 years of business analysis or technical project management experience at a media, Internet, software, or digital media company.
  • Demonstrated track record of defining systems that lead to increased efficiency and productivity through the use of technology.
  • Strong relationship building capabilities.
  • Excellent analytical, data modeling, organizational and presentation skills.
  • Solid understanding of SAAS technology.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and be accountable.
  • Ability to perform under stress.
  • Must have a strong sense of ownership, urgency and initiative.
  • Experience in an Agile environment including familiarity with User Stories and iterative development.
  • Documented experience with methodology and process related to Business Analysis.

Quality Assurance Tester

Rightsline is looking for a full-time Quality Assurance Tester to join our quickly growing team. We need a meticulous, logical tester with excellent communication skills and a passion for solving problems.

Experience with SQL is preferred. The desire to learn and the ability to adapt are required. As a QA Tester, you will ensure quality and consistency by interpreting feature requirements, documenting and executing test cases, reporting issues, and contributing ideas for product improvement.

This role reports to the QA Manager, but works closely with the Engineering, Product, and Executive teams, both in LA and remote. The QA Tester is an integral part of producing and maintaining high quality products for clients throughout the media industry. Responsibilities will include:
  • Perform manual feature and regression tests on Rightsline web applications.
  • Verify test results in our web applications, in databases, and in other logging tools.
  • Gather requirements from, and develop feature specifications alongside, the Product team.

  • Respond swiftly to changing requirements.
  • Be willing to learn new technologies to help strengthen the team.
Requirements include:
  • 1-2 years of experience testing web-based software.
  • Ability to write clearly and concisely.

  • Familiarity with bug tracking software (JIRA, Rally, Pivotal, etc.).
  • 4-year degree.
Bonus Qualifications
