Director of DevOps

Job Description
Rightsline is currently looking for a Director of DevOps. This is a senior position within the organization and will be responsible for all of our infrastructure and deployments (which are all in AWS, multiple regions). The role will be multi-faceted, involving everything from analysis of the existing built out environments to implementing new configurations and technology. This individual will report to the CTO and will own the entirety of the AWS infrastructure.

You will be working in a collaborative environment with a team who shares your passion for building impactful products.

Responsibilities will include:
  • Work directly with the engineering team to test system integrity.
  • Design and implement build, deployment, and configuration management.
  • Test implemented designs.
  • Build and test automation tools for infrastructure provisioning.
  • Handle code deployments in all environments (Cake, TFS).
  • Monitor metrics and develop ways to improve.
  • Provide technical guidance and educate team members and coworkers on deployment and operations.
  • Brainstorm for new ideas and ways to improvement development delivery.
  • Consult with peers for feedback during testing stages.
  • Build, maintain, and monitor configuration standards.
  • Manage CI and CD tools with team.
  • Document and design various processes; update existing processes.
  • Follow all best practices and procedures as established by company.
Requirements include:
  • Extensive and senior knowledge in AWS (a certificate or proven experience a must).
  • Comfortable with Windows and Linux.
  • Experience with best practices around AWS deployments, specifically around security.
  • Excellent verbal and written skills.
  • Ability to interface with all levels within the organization.

Avails Coordinator

Job Description
Rightsline is currently looking for an Avails Coordinator. This position will process Avails for major studios and broadcasters, enabling broadcast licensing, streaming, and pay per view for viewers around the country. The individual will be responsible for the timeliness and accuracy of the data we deliver to our clients.

You will be working in a collaborative environment with a team who shares your passion for building impactful products.

Responsibilities will include:
  • Analyze incoming data feeds and map to industry standard and client-specific data models and formats.
  • Process avails data, improving quality assurance strategies, rules, and execution.
  • Hands-on data cleansing.
  • Research title data in other systems to minimize risk of duplicate titles and enrich our data set.
  • Troubleshoot client questions and issues.
  • Provide written and verbal communication appropriate for both internal and external audiences.
Requirements include:
  • Fluent in Japanese a must.
  • Great organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • The ability to understand and remember many sets of requirements and apply the correct set of rules to the correct use cases.
  • Solid Excel skills. Must be prepared to demonstrate Excel skills such as sorting, filtering, and the use of functions. This job will require the use of Excel functions such as CONCATENATE and VLOOKUP.
  • Experience in any of the following areas is highly desirable:
    • Avails management
    • Metadata creation, management, or processing
    • Data processing
    • Client Service, especially if you have experience translating client orders into internal instructions/work orders, and/or tracking/managing projects to delivery
    • Quality Assurance
  • Experience in Film/TV/Music Distribution, Broadcast, or Digital Media is preferred, especially previous work experience at a studio, post house, metadata aggregator, broadcaster, production company, or ad agency.

The individual will be responsible for assisting with the timeliness and accuracy of the data we deliver to our clients.

Quality Assurance Tester

Job Description
Rightsline is looking for a full-time Quality Assurance Tester to join our quickly growing team. We need a meticulous, logical tester with excellent communication skills and a passion for solving problems.

Experience with SQL is preferred. The desire to learn and the ability to adapt are required. As a QA Tester, you will ensure quality and consistency by interpreting feature requirements, documenting and executing test cases, reporting issues, and contributing ideas for product improvement.

This role reports to the QA Manager, but works closely with the Engineering, Product, and Executive teams, both in LA and remote. The QA Tester is an integral part of producing and maintaining high quality products for clients throughout the media industry. You will be working in a highly collaborative environment with a team who shares your passion for building impactful products.

Responsibilities will include:
  • Perform manual feature and regression tests on Rightsline web applications.
  • Verify test results in our web applications, in databases, and in other logging tools.
  • Gather requirements from, and develop feature specifications alongside, the Product team.
  • Participate in regular scrum events. Communicate openly and often.
  • Respond swiftly to changing requirements.
  • Be willing to learn new technologies to help strengthen the team.
Requirements include:
  • 1-2 years of experience testing web-based software.
  • Ability to write clearly and concisely.
  • Strong sense of ownership and proven ability to adapt.
  • Familiarity with bug tracking software (JIRA, Rally, Pivotal, etc.).
  • 4-year degree.
Bonus Qualifications
  • Experience with automated testing solutions, such as Selenium and Jasmine.
  • Understanding of SQL and database practices.
